Hello Everyone,

Yes it's 2012 and I must start this blog with news of the passing of Sifu Jerry Poteet ,Jerry Poteet was one of Bruce Lee's original students and has been teaching Jeet Kune-do in it's most original form since the passing of Bruce Himself.

Jerry Traveled the world teaching people from all walks of lfe the legacy Bruce Lee left behind. He was also a Fight Choreographer and choreographed the fights in ''Dragon the Bruce Lee Story '' , he also trained Jason Scott Lee in Jeet Kune-do for the part of Bruce Lee.

If your quick you can spot Jerry in the film ,after the 60 second fight at Ed Parkers tournament ,as Bruce( Jason Scott Lee) leaves Jerry Poteet can be seen behind him amongst the crowds.

RIP SIFU.

Now to things coming our way over the coming weeks ,as you all may be aware Chinese New Year is earlier this year ,falling on the 23rd of January,K.I.T.G. will be at the celebrations to take some pictures and will post them early February ,in this Year of the Dragon.

Also this month sees another batch of film reviews including ''My Kingdom'' with action from Sammo Hung and co-starring Yuen Biao.

We also have a look at a couple of new games ,one just released (King of Fighters XIII ) and in early February we will cover the release of ''SOUL CALIBUR V'' .

Christmas Extrvaganza Update 1

Hello all,

Just a quickie to give you what's happening in the coming days, Already up is the first part of our Ninja Scroll TV series review ,covering the first four episodes ,the others will follow shortly.

Plus our Review of Yoshihiro Nishimura's ''Helldriver '' will be up in a day or so to just got to wrap up the review ,so look out for that one.

And if your on facebook be sure to check out the Kickemintheghoulies page (links in the sidebar) As there are films to watch ,with classics like Ninja Turf, Shaolin Girl and Bloodmoon . And tomorrow night we bring you a classic from 1993 ,the sublime ''Blade of Fury'' . With more to follow over the next couple of weeks.

The new films arrived for review ,so we will be getting down to watching the new films from Jackie,Jet and Donnie.

Yes ''1911'' , The Sorceror and the White Snake , and Wuxia are here. Just waiting for the next parcel to arrive now ,hope it arrives soon or things may get a bit tight in fitting it all in.

Christmas Snake's Christmas Extravaganza

Hi all, Christmas Snake here bringing you the lowdown for the next 6-7 weeks bag of action .

Yep here in this bumper fuelled edition of the site update ,our roster for the coming weeks looks so exciting with reviews of some top films including Jackie Chan's latest epic ''1911''

.Also look out for some classic action from Cynthia Rothrock and Richard Norton and even Jet Li gets a look in with his new film from Tsui Hark.

Also we get into Anime ,as from now on we will be covering a Anime each Month ,and this month we start out with the Ninja Scroll series vol 1 from 2003 and the 2001 Anime Cowboy Beebop The Movie .

Games front we have a look at the recent Super Streetfighter IV and Marvel vs Capcom 3 on the PS3 system,

Music wise we have reviews of the new album from Jay Chou and Korean trio JYJ with their new album In Heaven,though this has been delayed as we speak it should creep in by the end of December .

As i said this is a bumper edition ,so your see a double Christmas banner on site as we get closer to Christmas ,I'll be getting a banner together featuring all the stars and Martial artists that have surpported the site over the past months.

Yes October is here ,as you may have noticed the update is later this month ,and will be around this time every month from now.

Over the next four weeks ,we have reviews of '' Never Back Down 2'' with Michael Jai White and the new action horror movie from Sushi Typhoon ,HELLDRIVER.

Our Music feature is on the new album from Koda Kumi ,who at the moment is Japan's leading Pop star due to her diverse and alternating image.

Media Entertainment show at Earls Court London,October 1st /2nd 2011

On the 1st and 2nd of October Earls Court played host to the Media Entertainment show and Collectormania .Held ona regular basis the show offers a chance to track down items which you may never find from the entertainment industry .

Also on hand for Autographs and Photo's were a selection of stars of TV/FILM ,SPORTS PERSONALITIES and Artists.

Thought the event was very leading towards the Doctor Who, ( David Tenant was in attendance) and Star Wars ,due to the amount of goods on hand for sale from posters ,t-shirts ,models (some at extortionate prices) .As a place to go for finding a certain film or picture or whatever the event was OK.

The thing letting it down was the enteratinment side ,a stage set up to interview guests was badly lit and the hall it was held in was a bit dingy to say the least, no effort was made to brighten up the proceedings ,features should have played ,trailers of films and more ,.

The gaming zone consisted of one vendor bringing a selection of consoles and a few games which people could play set up on a table. ( NOT EXACTLY A SHOWCASE OF GAMING) .

So if your thinking of attending a event like this be sure that your going to spend some money on goodies or going to meet a certain star.

My compatriots that attended with me as well as i did purchase a few goodies ,from DVD's games and T-Shirts .

But as a Entertainment show i was let down . I hope the MXM Comic Con at the Excel is more what i was expecting ,well just have to wait and see at the end of October .

Anyway update in a couple days and i even model the T-shirts i purchased for you all to see .

Passing of a Sensei

Over the years i have trained ,i have been taught by many teachers, some have been more my full time teachers and others have been ones that i have trained under on various occasions.

In the years training in Jiujitsu at World Kobudo ,one of those occasional teachers was Sensei Ken Figg ,it was with surprise that i should find out about his passing recently, Of course in recent years he had been part of Jiujitsu International ,headed by Soke Richard Morris.

All teachers leave a lasting impression on who they teach and Sensei Figg was no exception .We all learn different ways of portraying ourselves in the martial arts ,and many of these ways are handed down from the teachers that teach you.

Whether the teachings you receive are in contrast to other teachers methods ,they all want one thing ,and that is to make you the best you can be.

So i thought it fit to mention of Sensei Figg's passing because of the many students he had taught and left his mark on.

R.I.P. Sensei Figg.

A little late but September looks pretty exciting

I know we are a little late with our blog update this month ,but busy in other areas made getting everything in place a little harder this month. But then it gave a few more days for you all to enjoy our Conan Lee banner .

This month h we have a host of films to view including a look at the new Chinese Animation ''Legend of the Rabbit'' .Tie this in with a few classics like the brilliant king of Beggars with Stephen Chow and 1998 classic Recoil with Gary Daniels and it's a fun filled month.

Plus also this month sees coverage of the London Japan Matsuri festival ,which takes place on the 18th of September . And Not forgetting our regular Film,Game and Music news updates which have just had a healthy sprinkling of news just added to their pages.

More new films on the way to DVD and Blu Ray

Hello again ,

Yes it's another instalment in the world of Martial arts and the media attached to it. So what is good news is the release of Kuro-Obi (aka Black Belt) finally getting a UK release. Come on now how many have you imported this one?

Keeping witht he Japanese theme i am also pleased to see that the new film from Seiji Chiba is getting a UK release in October 2011 ,Starring Karate sensation Rina Takeda it's sure to bring a smile to many faces. But i here you say ,what about KG aka Karate Girl ,wiil this get a UK release or Region release any time soon? Well it looks like we will just have to wait and see. Rina's first film is still only available on Japanese or USA import ,of course only the USA release has Subtitles in English.

There are also some new Thai films coming for the UK market to, the one i am looking forward to is ''Yamada the warrior ,which is supposed to be a cross between Ong Bak and Bang Rajan. I have seen clips of this and it looks pretty good ,only been available on Thai release with no subs for a while now. But soon those good folks at Cine Asia will release it in glorious subtitles for us all to understand.

Other Thai films arriving soon is ,Syma Village of Warriors about some time traveling teens out to save the world.A few years old now it's not bad ,this ones coming from Epic Asia under the title ''ASSASSIN RISING', plus also look out for Brave with Michael B and Fighting Beat with Than Thanakorn ,this one is under the title ''Blood Fighter'' It;'s actually quite good film and one worth owning.

London Riots cause disaster for Indie Lables.

Of course many know about the Sony Distribution center in Enfield North London being torched by Rioters . What you may NOT know is how the center was used by many Indie lables ,The Sony Plant was repsonsible for storing films ,Games,DVD's and CD's.

Indie Lables like Third Window Films and Terracotta Distribution and Metrodome and a few others have lost their stock . Many of these lables distribute many cult and hard to find films from the East. Terracotta who last year released the Japanese title ''Big Titis Zombie 3D'' . They are also repsonsible for bringing us the yearly Terracotta Film festival which celebrates Far East Films n the West.

Third Window films lost in the region of 19'000 units of their stock in the fire and NOW it makes it hard for these lables to push for new films as so much money of their's was tied up in stock. Lucky enough no one was injured during the fire ,but this does put in Jeopardy the jobs of the many people working in the industry .

Here at K.I.T.G. we wish them well and hope that fans of the genres they release will purchase some films to keep afloat these cult lables which bring something different to the market.

UK Riots,Hunting in Packs should be reserved for Animals .

With Recent events in the UK ,namley people going on the rampage ,because they feel they deserve something for free or are out for a laugh are all done at the expense of others.

It is expected that animals will hunt in packs and turn against each other to survive. but when Civalised people do the same to eachother ,burning property and wrecking lives ,then it seems to many that the world has gone insane.

War can bring atrociaties to all ,with lives lost in the buid for freedom and justice, but in the UK in the past few days we have seen mindless luntics from all backgrounds wrecking the lives of others just because they think they can without reprisal.

It is clear that is not the case ,with the goverments recent announcement of cracking down on this and the last couple of days have been quieter.

But what really shows that the majority of people have sense and the abiltiy to stick together in times of strife is when bands of people come together to protect their surroundings from these mindless thugs .

With groups of people patrolling the streets of North London and other ares to having the community come together to put a stop to this carnage . You can only think to yourself that in the end justice will prevail.

As a martial artist ,and many other practioners i am sure will say the same ,you come together as a family of Martail artists when you meet fellow practioners. What's great to see is the way communites have come together in the same way to fight and hold firm their values.

It's often said All Men are Brothers ,it's just a shame that a minority have forgotten that ,but then if the Police don't get them maybe they wished they had if they run into any of these communites protecting society .
