July approaching and it looks OK

Hello everyone,

From the confines of Snakedojo i bring you this update,all is in place for next months Sammo Hung Month.

Meanwhile ,Reviews of True Legend and The Octagon are up with others to follow in a couple days.

The Old School section has had it's revamp ,so in films it just leaves the main up to date reviews to get the treatment this coming month ,then we move on to the games and arts.

With new Jiujitsu /Taekwondo/Karate and Kung Fu pages arriving soon it should be cool.

Add to this a new look Snakes Domain as well.

Also just arrived is Pure Fighter 99 my new training partner ,who does not moan ,he will be establishing himself on this very site.

If your on face book you can get a sneak peak of him.

Games wise ,look out for the Dreamcast top ten in a couple of days or so .plus Killer Instinct on N64.

Music ,Boa's new Identity album will be up on review to .

So get ready for Sammo month ,with the launch of a profile page on the great man .plus he's our banner star this month to . Thanks must go to Bey Logan ,who asked Sammo for me when he saw him in Shanghai and of course to Sammo himself for being a star and sport and friend of K.I.T.G.

So all looks exciting for next month and more .

Banner stars and More to come

Hi ,all

I know it's been a while since my last blog but been busy adding features.

Whats happening ? well as you can see if your on site (and why not get there now).Banner stars have arrived ,yes with permission from the stars i will try and feature a well known martial artist each month if i can .This month see's the Beautiful Cynthia Rothrock grace our site ,along with a new profile page for her and a chance to win one of her films.

Other goings on include the revamp of the reviews pages as you can see if you browse.Also in the process of revamping the Martilal art pages within Snakedojo,with each art getting it's own page .And with more arts being added it looks good.

GAME wise it's been a bit stagnent i must admit,,the Shenmue page is under way but ,i want to get it right before i post it,but we will look at a couple of classics this month,Killer Instinct on N64 for one.

The music reviews are happening slowly ,just posted Cyndi Wang's new album review.And this month see's Boa's Identity album get the once over.

Now with the site facebook ready it will make it more social i think,then there's Buzzworthy just added ,just waiting for content to be compiled for site ,at the moment it set to Movies and is on a tab on the home link.

Changes are coming

With so much data on films and games ,music and so forth .The site will be going through some changes over the next 6-8 weeks ,as the way you view the reviews will change .All the present home pages will still be there ,but each section will have it's own home page with a list of the relevent reviews for you to read.

What this gives is more info for you the reader as each Review will have it's own page with Phot's and more ,like if there is a Music video to accompany a film i will post that to on the films review.

The same goes for Game reviews ,though the music and snake dojo sections will remain the same for the time being .

It also means more star profiles with a list to thier films and links to those reviews on site .

With profiles on Jackie Chan,Bruce Lee,Cynthia Rotrhrock and Lam Ching-Ying already up ,you can look forward to profiles on Sonny Chiba,Donnie Yen ,Sammo Hung and Andy Lau and Jet Li coming soon.

In a bid to give you the definitive site on all aspects of the Martial arts ,i The Snake will be hard at work delivering a exciting site to all who care to visit.

Reviews and New Competiton from tomorrow

Yep in a flash you will see reviews up coming this Sunday and Monday along with the New Competition that will run from Monday .

So stay tuned for BodyGuards and Assassins / Epik High's album ''emotion'' / And on BluRay The Promise .

Then later on in the week the Shenmue page will go live ,along with some planned updates on the excisting pages.Providing the clouds don't close in on me or Ghengis Khan turns up at my door.

Shouldn't think so though.

Reviews next week Now ,PC DIED.

Yeah it never rains ,but pours ,because of not looking what i'm doing ,i put my PC in '' i'm not starting mode''

Any way till i get it sorted reviews may be a bit late ,as writing them on this laptop is not that easy for me as all my pictures are on the PC AND SUCH LIKE.

So hopefully next week towards the end i might get some new stuff up , from the Treasure hunter review ,Bodyguards and Assassins and Ninja.

Add to that the Epik High's new album and Strret fighter on SNES ,i have my work cut out for me.

I may try and do one review on this tiny thing ,but will have to wait and see .

I will post the competition in a couple of days ,that won't be to hard.

A new homepage for Asia Music on site now,with a news section for new albums and a video page for the newest video's on the stars.Check out Ayumi Hamasaki's new album released on the 14th of April form AVEX TRAX.

And don't forget BOA's new album ''Identity'' . Video on the Home page of the site .

Reviews this coming week ,well Teasure Hunter with Jay Chou and Bodyguards and Assassins from Teddy Chen..

Ultra Vortek review

Just posted the Ultra Vortek Review in the video game section .so check it out

Ultra Vortek is a game from the Failed Atari Jaguar .With so few games and even less good ones ,finding this gem was a pleasure.

Now even though i may score a game from the Eighties or Nineties the same as a game from present day ,it does not mean i think of them as equal.

Games playing has moved on.

For instance Capcom's Commando game from the mid 80's was a brilliant game and one that deserves a high score ( lets say i give it 8 out of 10)

Now a game like Gears of War on 360 is a good game and i give it 8 out of 10 .

I am not saying that Commando is just as good as Gears ,put side by side now most players would not give Commando a second look .(even though they would make a mistake in my opinon)

The scores are a guidline only as to how i view them and what enjoyment they gave .In it's day Commando was a top game and was the gears of that era, so when reading reviews of old media you have to go back in time as if it is the pinnacle of what's available.

Lots of new pictures and Photo's

Just to let you know the galleries for Photo's are now locked to non members ,with so many new pictures in one place the galleries attract a lot of attention ,people are downloading the pictures ,well i had a choice .1 ) lock the pictures so no one can download them ,

or 2) Lock the page for members only ,but once logged in members can download the pictures if they wish .

I opted for the second option ,so members can still download the picures they require ,but if your not a member ,you can not view them at all.

Maybe i will get some new members from this 'time will tell.

Film reviews kick off

Yes ,this week will see the start of some great film reviews as most of my films turned up today ,so over the next week look out for reviews of YoYo Girl Cop ,which will feature in our new Japan Town section .Plus Kung Fu Chefs with Sammo Hung and Storm Warriors in the new films section .

Then the following week look out for Treasure Hunters and another Japan flick in the form of Cutie Honey .
