Hideki Kamiya  is a video game director/ creator  who was responsible for  Devil May Cry and Viewtiful Joe has been working on this since 2007 at Platinum games in association with SEGA .

The game is a 3rd person action game in a similar vain to Devil May Cry ( in fact it's the first thing that come to mind when you play) But even though there are these similarities  BAYONETTA is very much a landmark game in the way that it executes the way it plays.Set in a Fictional European city called Vigrid .

Bayonetta is a Witch who is working for the devil so she can stay on the earth between Heaven and Hell ( or Light and Dark as they are refereed to here).She awakens after five hundred years with not a clue of how and where she is but after a while her memories return ,you see 500 years ago there where two warrior factions that battled each other ,the Umbra Witches and the Lumen Sages .Now both factions shared a common treasure ''The Eyes of the World'' One being the left eye and the other the right .Now in present day she has joined up with a informant''Enzo '' who tells her where she can find the owner the right eye. In a bid to find this person she takes on the task so she may regain her lost memories.

This is a very story driven game with many characters which you will meet in this multi chapter game with mini chapters within those. Bayonetta goes to Vigrid to find out the truth .Vigrid is a place of light and she can not communicate or harm the residents of this paradise ,but the Angels of light are out to stop her and she will find herself fighting for her life.

With crazy moves which involves her using her hair as a Shape shifting  weapon this is one game that will amaze you as she spins and vaults with her guns strapped to her feet and hands ,as you get attacked you can use all manner of devices to rid your opponents from basic kicks and punches to to combo's using her devastating guns to Torture attacks which see's her use all manner of devices from Chain saws and more .But for me summoning your hair to shape shift and attack in forms of demons and wolves is brilliant and so fantastic looking that you will have to be careful to keep a eye on whats going on and Not on the sumptuous visuals which will make you think you have reached gaming heaven. 

 This is one game your not want to miss

There are scenes where you are fighting on parts of buildings that are crashing to the ground ,planes that are flying and then there are these very tranquil scenes that that show the beauty of the game that suddenly explode in to Hell on earth ,it's one of those games that will give hours of fun with many difficulty settings for the armature or for the hard core player ( i always play on a middle of the road setting or i will never finish anything)

You start with four guns but by finding Golden LP ALBUMS some which are broken ,the player can give Bayonetta shotguns ,swords and other killing devices.Plus there's Halo's  to collect     which many enemies drop when you have dispatched them ,pick these up (just like Sonic)and you can buy upgrades for your weapons and more.

I had so much fun playing this game from many points of view ,not just the mindless killing but the look and feel of the game and the fact that it's so easy to pick up and play.Platinum and Sega have delivered a master class in 3rd person action games and i whole heartily recommend this title  ,I'm off gotta kill some Angels.

Yes i know it's not a release from the latest console ,but that's the point .When it comes to concentrating on a specific genre you have to explore all possibilities.

Any how this was the one Fighting game on Jaguar that i always wanted ,so luckily enough i managed to get one on good old eBay at a reasonable price in good condition ,but minus the manual .But then with a manual you can pay up to £70.00 for a good copy of this game .

So this was supposed to be Atari's answer to the Mortal Kombat games (even though Mortal  was in the making but canceled) and you know it works pretty well ,so well that with a few more characters and some advertising of the Jaguar from Atari this would have trounced it good and proper.

Even though only Seven playable characters and one unlock-able one . It actually kicks Butt .This shows what the Jaguar could have done had it been given time to develope.

With characters with great names like Buzzsaw / Skullcrusher and Dreadloc what you have here is a fast paced beat'em up with easy to pick up moves (even with a Jaguar pad).

All comers have basic moves ,punch ,kick,jab and uppercuts.Add to this each characters signature moves like Buzzsaw's  Gut Spear Uppercut and Dreadloc's  Speed Slice.Then come the Annihilation attacks ,just like in Mortal Kombat when a foe is beaten and he is left standing you can kill him off with your Annihilation attacks which include your own brutal kills with names like the Sizzler and Fresh Meat.

Some of these moves involve the backgrounds that come alive and kill your foe of fas well ,add to this each characters 'WAIT FOR IT ,

Poopality attack and you have a game with some depth.But what's amazing is the animation of the fighters and Backgrounds that has the edge over other 2d fighting games from those years .With flowing moves and shadow effects that will impress you and a twist in the fighting that took me by surprise .

You see even when you defeat all the opponents you enter the Shadow realm (Mortal Kombat Anyone)where you must fight the past characters in shadow form in a setting that can only be labeled as dark and somber ,which makes seeing these foes a tad difficult,but not so the game is unplayable.

It is after you have defeated these Shadow Warriors that you can face the Boss character which again has more in common with some of the Tekken games as he is a winged demon and impressive he is too.

So was it fun to play? Yes it was and i can honestly say this is the best fight game on the Jaguar and if you have a Jaguar then you must own this game it's a fight for Life and a enjoyable one too.

*Note ,the Atari Jaguar is fast becoming sought after and games like these can fetch high prices and they look set to continue rising to,so don't miss out and track down a copy.

 So here after a long wait is the fighter everyone has been waiting for ,it's also the first time Namco's fighter has ventured from a Sony Console Exclusivity .

So now us 360 owners can compete in the Iron Fist Tournament to.Now it's been a while coming but the wait has been worth it as namco has treated us to a game with so much content that all will be pleased.

From the Adventure mode that plays like a 3rd person adventure and has you fighting for survival ,yes i know we had similar modes in earlier additions but they did not come up to the quality of this episode .Put together with a Arcade mode that features a massive 40 fighters from the Tekken Universe and your sure to find your favorite.Starting off with  as always a marvelous intro movie that introduces us to the fighters .

When you first come to the menu screen you wonder where to go there's so much here.Like i said you can delve in to the story adventure mode or a offline mode with Arcade /Ghost Battle /VS/Team Battle/Time attack/survival or practice.  Once entering you have a massive roster of fighters to use .Online you have Ranked and non ranked matches to choose ,plus you have the leader boards and you can upload and download data.I have experienced the online mode but i will get more in to that in a update once i have mastered it a bit more ,but it is very good.

 Now this addition was also released in special editions with steel case and art books on both 360 and Ps3.But on top of this you could also buy a bundle which comprised of the special edition plus a wireless arcade stick control again for both PS3 and 360(as pictured below)But at a whopping £160.00 ,i can say i did not indulge .i have a Hori stick that works perfectly.

 So if you have the dosh it's a nice set up.But in the end it's game play that matters,and Tekken 6 has bucket loads.along with superb graphics on these new systems compared to other versions namco have done every body proud .

The way the clothes and animation of the fighters move is blistering and close ups and zoom ins  and outs .makes for a very exciting game to play.I just know it's gonna take ages for me to get all out of it so once i explore a bit more i will post a online play update.Of course you have all your usual features in options adjusting your play modes and control and sound settings .

And  you also have a gallery to view ending movies artwork that you unlock along the way.Is it a purists fighter like Virtua Fighter you may say ,can it take it's crown 'from a martial view probably not as it has a lot of Fantasy in it.There's no fighting Kangaroo's in Sega's classic 'hell there's no winged demons either.But as a class fighter whether you play on 360 or PS3 you can not go far wrong getting Tekken 6 it's a blast from the past ,yet it's as fresh as the original was on the Playstation.
