With daily blasts across the internet of one rumour to the next about this games systems policies or what's coming to this system or that system ,you may be confused as to what is really legit or just someones fan ravings .
I don't don't like to speculate to much and i avoid publishing evry possible rumour that may crop up ,more for the reason it contridicts what i might have previously published.
I suppose the big news of the past couple of days is that SONY have officially announced the North American and Europe release dates for the PS4 console. And with most preorders for Christmas now closed as around 1 million preorders have been registered.
Of course how many may cancel their preorders for whatever reasons ,be it financial problems or just a change of heart we don't know .
But PS4 launches in North America on November 15th and two weeks later in Europe on the 29th of November.
Also announced new Red and Blue PS4 controllers - £54.95 each
What's more the launch line up just announced is as follows ,now there's apprently thirty titles to come but here are the ones which are more or less promised.
Call of Duty Ghosts - PS4 - Xbox One - Wii U -
Need for Speed Rivals- PS4- Xbox One - PS3- Xbox 360
Fifa 14 - PS4 - Xbox One - PS3 - Xbox 360
NBA 2K14 - PS4 - Xbox One - PS3 - Xbox 360
Skylanders Swap force - PS4 - Xbox One - Wii U - PS3 - Xbox 360 - Wii
Battlefield 4 - PS4 - Xbox One - PS3 - Xbox 360
NBA Live 14 - PS4 - Xbox One - PS3 - Xbox 360
Madden NFL 25- PS4 - Xbox One - PS3 - Xbox 360
Killzone Shadowfall - PS4
Drive Club - PS4
KNACK - PS4
Assassins Creed IV Black Flag - PS4 - Xbox One - Wii U - PS3 - Xbox 360
Watch Dogs - PS4 - Xbox One - Wii U - PS3 - Xbox 360 - Wii
Just Dance 2014 - PS4 - Xbox One - Wii U - PS3 - Xbox 360 - Wii
Lego Marvel Super Heroes - PS4 - Xbox One - Wii U - PS3 - Xbox 360
There's not a lot of exclusive content here mostly multiplat titles. I have llisted beside what platforms these titles are coming to as well so you can see whether it's worth diving into next gen just yet for your self.
So That's just three exclusive titles above with some of the biggest being multiplat titles.
Exclusives at launch seem a bit scarce ,but Wii U was no better.
Now on the Microsoft front , who are still to announce the official street dates for the unit have reduced the number of countries the Xbox One will be available at launch from 21 to 13 ,this i think can only do them harm ,especially when little Johnnie's parents are looking to buy him anew console for Christmas in say the Netherlands and they plump for a PS4 or Wii U because Microsoft have delayed the launch in their region.
Also on the Xbox One front is the announcement that the new Kinect wont have to be connected to the console all the time and that you can now switch it of ,yes another 180 on Microsofts part due to some people thinking their being spied on if they have the unit on.
So if you don't need the Kinect connected now ,does that mean there will be a cheaper kinect free version of the console ,well no .
Microsoft says the new kinect is a integral part of the XBOX ONE and for certain tasks if you choose your have to connect the unit .
But it's OK now as preorderes will now geta copy of FIFA 14 with the console. Well it may entice the Football fanboys but for the rest there just be stuck witha game they cant sell because everyones got it for free.
You know what it's like with these EA sports titles ,they release each year to cash in on the fans who continually buy the same game year in year out ,thing is your old version becoames worhtless and no one wants them not even for 99p on ebay. You might as well throw the games away and reuse the DVD/ Bluray case for something else.
Anyway as soon as we have a street date for the Xbox One i will publish it here.
Now Wii U , the recent Pikmin 3 launch has seen a upsurge in units sold in Japan ,which dipped a couple weeks after but has gone back up again in the last week.
The European launch of Pikmin 3 was a success for the game and it continues to sell ,but as far as causing a hardware spike in sales it doesn't seem apparent as it did in Japan, the game released in North America on August 4th ,but figures are not in yet on those sales ,so we'll have to wait and see.
In the UK Nintendo have been doing various tours and roadshows to showcase the Wii U and 3DS and from what i have seen it may prove fruitfull for them this Holiday season.
Also with the announcement of some 20 Indie titles to come to the Nintendo eshop before Christmas it looks like Wii U owners will have something to play if there on a budget to.
Where particulay looking forward to titles like 'TNT RACERS, Scram Kitty and his Buddy on Rails,Tengami ,Festival of magic and Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams which is released this week.
Also the Wii U Virtual Console gets another release this week in the form of Street Fighter 2 , Street Fighter 2 Turbo and Super Street Fighter 2.
Retro fight action arrives this week on Wii U
And not forgetting another two big titles out this week in Europe are Platinum Games Wonderful 101 which is published by Nintendo and another exclusive for the console, also this week sees Ubi soft release Splinter Cell Blacklist on all current systems and early word up from the American release a couple days ago is that the Wii U version looks a lot better then the others, but is lacking the Local Co-op play found on the PS3 and 360.
But the Wii U version does have Gamepad intergration making the game more involved in some ways.
Out in North America Now and Europe on the 23rd August.
Early reports are evidnet that that Multiplayer online play is suffering on Wii U and PS3 due to server problems making some peoples consoles crash. But hopefully Ubi soft will get a patch out to rectify this and ASAP to. No word up if 360 users are experiencing problems as yet.
And the Wii U love doesn't stop there because end of the month ,which is only a week away sees the game that caused thousands of Wii U owners to bombard Ubisoft with rants and rave earlier in the year. Yes Rayman Legends is out next week on the 30th in Europe on Wii U /PS3 /360 and PSVita.
In other Current Gen news this week on PS3 and 360 we have Saints Row IV out this week and The Bureau XCOM Declassified also released on PS3 and 360 .
Out this week on PS3 and 360
The European equivalent of E3 is taking place in Germany at the moment ,so i'm sure where have more news from Gamescom this week and next.
So keep gaming and bashing those buttons.
I'll be back next week with more news and then we look forward to the UK's big gaming event ,Eurogamer Expo which takes place at Earls Court in London for four days ,where there for two of those days and will bring you all the news straight from the show floor.
So what you looking forward to and are you licking up any of the games released this week?

Yes Bruno B. back with another gaming wonder, with all the rumours ,Woes and show stealing antics of the last three weeks ,it looks like it's a great time to be a gamer .
Nintendo seems to be set on ressurecting their Low Wii U sales , Nintendo have their Unleashed tour happening in the UK at events like Hyper Japan,MCM,Eurogamer Expo and other media shows. The Unleashed tour gives gamers a chance to play the latest releases and a few of the forthcoming games coming to Wii U and 3DS.
So if you want to play PIKMIN 3 ,MARIO 3D WORLD, Animal Crossing and more then you should not miss these events in the UK. Also in the UK Nintendo are doing another tour ,Called the Nintendo Roadshow ,calling at various alternate events like airshows and festivals through out the summer . Here the focus will be more on showing currently available titles on Wii U and 3DS.
Not to be out done Nintendo of America have revealed their be at the San Diego Comic Con showing more then twenty titles ,some of which have not been shown outside of E3 yet.
Pikmin 3 has launched in Japan with big success ,selling over 163'000 copies in the first week ,it has also sparked a boost in Sales of the Wii U console as well.
Pikmin releases in the west on July 26th in Europe and August 4th in the USA. I'm sure it will have the same effect.
Yes unlike some dedicated gaming websites ,who seem intent on reporting negative stories on Nintendo (and these are Nintendo dedictaed sites) we feel optimism is key .
Other news of course is the DRM issue for XBOX ONE ,with such bad feedback across the internet , and the fact that Xbox One pre-orders where just not really happening ,Microsoft decided they would do a full reversal of all their polices against used games.
Now Xbox One will be able to play used games without incurring a fee ,your not have to sign into the internet every 24 hours to play games .It has the always on Kinect issue ,but if you want one then your probbaly just put up with it.
Of course this means some features are no longer available on the new console like being able to share your games with up to ten people over the cloud.
In fact some fans have even set up a petition to re-instate the old polices , lol.
CAPCOM's Dead Rising 3 is sure to sell the XBOX 1
Anyway Amazon UK reported that Xbox One pre-orders after the reversal soared and have over taken the PS4 in this region. Whether that represents a overall picture we don't know and i pretty much doub't it as i think Microsoft have done the damage and lost quite a few fans to Sony. I actually hope Nintendo can grab some of those sales to .
PS4 seems to be going from strength to strength and it's not even out yet. It looks like Sony could have another PS2 on their hands after the PS3 struggled to get into homes when launched ,but now Global sales of the PS3 have over taken the 360 . But they still have a way to go to beat the Nintendo Wii ,but it could be done.
Ubisoft's Watch Dogs may be Multi Platform ,but looks like the PS4 version could be definitive.
Also if your a Wii fan your notice that a lot of the social channels are now turned off ,so don't forget to delete those channels from your Wii.
Crazy thing is In Europe and the USA last week the Wii outsold the Wii U ,Nintendo need to address things and hopefully their new advertising campaign may address to some issues.
Hopefully all should work out soon and we should be playing loads of great games ,of course if we can afford them that is.

Of course many will know that Sega's Playstation exclusive series Yakuza ( Ryu ga gotoku in Japan ) is one of Sega's most successful series since it stopped producing it's own hardware . The series has always been a Playstation only game and is on it's fifth game ,which has been recently released in Japan on PS3.
Now the first two in the series which where on PS2 and later ported onto PS3 in HD as digital downloads are coming to Nintendo's Wii U console in August in a special 1&2 boxed set ,but only in Japan.
Fans of the series in the West are crying out for a Western release. Here's hoping that it sells well on Wii U in Japan ,so that the West can get a conversion to. And hopefully the others in the series will follow.
Sega have said they are testing the waters so to speak to see how successful it can be , we hope it brings Sega the fruits it expects . The boxed price converts to approx £35 for both games ,so would you pay that for a boxed version or would you like to see a eshop download at a reduced price.
Anyway here's the boxart from the game

Nintendo had thier E3 direct yesterday and unleashed news of their first party games coming to Wii U this year and next. Even though we will have new Mario 3D game this Christmas ,two of the eagerly awaited games Nintendo fans where waiting for won't be released until spring 2014 .
The first of those is Mario Kart 8 ( more news on this soon) , the other is Super Smash Brothers 4 .
Everyone thought that it would release this side of Christmas ,but we all know Nintendo ,it will release when it's ready and that time is slated as Spring 2014 at present ,things could change still if they deem they need more time to finish the game.
Is this one of the games you where waiting for ? , do you think Nintendo have enough software this year to boost sales of it's Wii U console ?
These are questions many are asking and to be honest with the Xbox One and PS4 debut's this year it could be tough for Wii U . But with the DRM issue surrounding the other two consoles ,it could work in Nintendo's favour.
Watch this space .

Yes us gamers are a funny breed, it's probably the only type of consumer electronic that has a fan base like it does.
Gamers will pledge alegiance to a system as long as what there getting is what they expect.
But it seems after Tuesday's Xbox One reveal many where not happy at Microsoft's new TV orientated ,Kinect driven system which requires a the Kinect linked all the time and a internet connection every 24 hours.
But the bug bear has been the fee to play used games which has come about . Each new game installs on the system linking it to that console and the players ID .
Also the fact that the reveal actually revealed little about any new games of interest to Xbox gamers ,or any gamer for that matter.
This has seen the struggling Wii U sales in the UK take a upturn since the annoucement ,but where not talking a few more sales .Amazon have reported that sales have increased a massive 386% , placing the Wii U in the top fifty sales list.
Interest in the PS4 has also increased with many social communities members announcing there intention to buy Sony's new machine .
Of course now E3 is around the corner ,it will be interesting to see what the three big boys have to say and reveal.
The wars have just begun

If your into your games ,you would have seen last nights Xbox unveil of the new system from Microsoft. Launching end of the year the system promises to bring gaming into futuristic proportions .
The New Xbox ONE
But news today suggest that Microsoft owned Rare studios could be working on a new game in a long running franchise to launch with the system. Speculations are high and though Perfect Dark may seem a safe choice many are speculating that it could be the next iteration in the Killer Instinct series.
The return of this fighter would be welcomed I'm sure.
O f course where going to have to wait till E3 or later to find out what it could be. But Killer Instinct could be a welcomed by the gaming fans. The previous versions where on the SNES and N64 when Rare where a Nintendo developer.

Ryo Hazuki the main protagonist in the 1999 Dreamcast game Shenmue is back , but for fans of the series i'm sorry to say that where not talking Shenmue 3. Where not even talking a guest appearence in a new SEGA game ,of which he has starred previously like in Sonic and All stars racing.
Hell i would be excited if they featured him in a new Virtua Fighter game ,but no .
SEGA in association with First 4 Figures are launching two collectable figurines which feature Ryo in a pose, standing in at a whole one foot tall these limited edition figures come in two versions. A standard base version and a special edition with Ryo standing on a Phoenix Mirror.
Now these pre order figures are not pocket money toys ,coming in at approxiamately $170 for the standard and $184 for the Phoenix mirror version. So that's about £100 each ,but i'm sure importers in the UK will put a hefty profit on that if anybody in the UK requires one.
Even though it's nice to see such collectables ,closer look at these particular ones gives away a clue that Ryo may have been slacking in his training since the end of Shenmue 2. Ryo looks slightly podgy and fuller in the face then i remember him being.
Any Shenmue news always gets the internet buzzing and the SEGA fans typing ,but i can't see many forking out such a high price for a figurine of the intrepid Ryo Hazuki when facially the figure is not quite perfect.
I would actually gladly pay £100 for a copy of Shenmue 3 ,but for a Figurine that just about facially bears a resembelance to our hero ,i don't think so.

Yes Bruno B back with another game infused feature ,well snippett . You just can't keep a good console down, Sega's Dreamcast has fast become one of the cult classic consoles to own, Dreamcast's constantly sell on ebay at a alarming rate, very few don't sell .
Now of course it's the great back catalog of games that the system has that keeps people using them ,or in many cases collecting them. Recently on ebay there was a pre releases press version of Shenmue II up for sale , it conatained the press versions of the games (white discs) and had no manual , and a front and back cover printed for press release. .
Now good copies of Shenmue II can go for up to £50 on ebay if there pristine, not bad since the retail price of the game when released in the UK was £29.99.
Now i watched this auction and saw it go up to thirty two pounds , not bad for a release the original person probably got for nothing. But i was astounded when i saw it actually sold for a whopping £112.
Now Shenmue maybe was not issued in large numbers ( it never released in the USA on Dreamcast) but you can find good numbers for sale on ebay at times. There's quite a few other Dreamcast titles that are rarer that never reach that kind of money.
