Going back to Day two of the Taekwondo , the Women's 57kg matches. this was where British two time Olympion Jade Jones got knocked out in the early round.
After finally seeing the match , yes scouring the ney again.
I managed to see the final with America's Anastasija Zolotic who went up against the ROC's Tatina Minina , the match was a fiery one with America and Russia facing of . Even though this Olympics Russia is banned and each Russion contestant is a individual entrant under the Russian Olympic Committee Banner.
Hey it's the USA vs Russia.
The match was very good with successive exchanges of blows , early on it was a game of chess as Zolotic scored with some good kicks., but Minina took ground back.
Zolotic's longer reach I think helped and as the third round started Zolotic started to expand her lead while Minina tried to regain her losses
Zolotic won by 23 to 14 .
Zolotic is one of the rising stars of the sport in the USA and is ranked fourth in the World in her weight class.
She also secured the first Female Taekwondo Medal in the Olymics for the USA.
