A Life Shaped by Dedication
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Houghton, a respected Hung Gar master whose life was defined by discipline, ambition, and a profound commitment to martial arts. Mark sadly passed away at the beginning of October 2026, leaving behind a legacy that reached across continents and connected the traditions of the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and the wider kung fu community.
Mark worked on numerous films over the years, and fans of Hong Kong Cinema would have seen him as the stuntman, on-screen fighter, and actor in films like Skinny Tiger Fatty Dragon, Angel Terminators, and many more.
His passing was announced on social media.
RIP
We have made a dedicated page for Mark Houghton, which also features the article we published on our old site when Mark came to the UK in 2022 and visited Rick Baker's Kung Fu Cafe.
